Old Southendian Res. 1 – 3 Buckhurst Hill Res.
Another good performance from the reserves that made it 7 wins in the last 8 games, with a long drive down the A127 to Southend.
Buckhurst started slowly allowing Old Southendians plenty of time and space on the ball. But then Buckhurst took the lead from an Alex Knight corner when Brad Mason made a great run taking out three players and Lee Beetles slotted home with a left foot volley from 10 yards out.
Shortly after Buckhurst were 2 goals to the good after a Neil Padley ball over the top and the centre half and keeper collided on the edge of the box and the ball spilled out to Lee Beetles who was clean through and the keeper brought him down giving them a penalty and also resulting in the keeper being sent off.
Jason Francis stepped up and slotted home in the bottom left corner.
Buckhurst look to be cruising now until an OG from Samuel Hancock late in the first half. This gave the home side some encouragement and they started to put a bit of pressure on us.
Old Southendians came out all guns blazing in the second half creating a couple of chances as they had nothing to lose in this third round reserve cup match. Ollie King replaced Stuart Bell early in the second half then Ross Pope replaced Peter Thompson with a slight hamstring strain. The last sub was made with Matt Curtis becoming the make shift striker again after his two goals last week and joined Jason Francis up top who linked up well.
Ollie King had a goal disallowed a low left foot drive from the edge of the box after the ball broke out from a corner.
Buckhurst killed the tie off after Ollie King nicked the ball past the keeper and Matt Curtis finished from the edge of the box.
Buckhurst Hill Res. 3 – 2 Ashdon Villa
Buckhurst Hill Res. 6 – 4(AET) Ramsden Res.
Kelvedon Hatch Res. 5 – 4 Buckhurst Hill Res.
Buckhurst Hill Res. 7 – 1 Steeple Bumpstead
Ramsden Res. 1 – 4 Buckhurst Hill Res
Another great performance from the reses yet again in the blazing sunshine.
We started brightly, then against the run of play and a lucky deflection set the Ramsden striker clean through and he finished to put them one up.
We got back on level terms before the break from a great run downt he left and cut inside from Marc Hatton.
We got back on top early in the second half a diagonal run from James Wilson into the box to get on the end of the through ball and he got taken down as the defender slide in and was no where near the ball.
Jason Francis stepped up to take the penalty (not so confident after his last missed penalty, which I think is still going up like a balloon) he slotted it in the bottom left corner.
Shortly after going 2-1 up we made three changes bringing on Billy Kirkham, Alex Knight and Lee Beetles. We where in control of the game now and shortly after coming on Beetles got on the end of a through ball and finished in the bottom left corner.
Then Alex Knight finished the day of with a cracking strike from just out side of the box into the bottom right corner and the keeper had no chance.

Buckhurst Hill Res 0 – 2 Manford Way Res.
Buckhurst Hill Res 4 – 1 Epping Res
Buckhurst Hill Reserves got off to a great to start, first friendly against Epping Reserves
Buckhurst Hill started the game as strong as they finished the season 2010-2011, the home side looked in control of the game from the first 10mins and we getting closer and closer to the breakthough and on 18mins they did when Dale Hernon picked out a pass to find Mark Hatton to which he beat two defeners in the box with great skill to find Matt Curtis with a great run from midfield to get into the 6 yards box to put Buckhurst Hill 1-0 up, the boys then tried to push on to find the next goal but Epping’s defence had got stronger for going 1-0 down, then with 10 mins to the end of the first half Epping made it 1-1 with a great cross into the box but for the unlucky Captain of Buckhurst Hill Adam Hole put into his own net to make 1-1 going into the break.
The 2nd half kick off with Buckhurst Hill trying to get back on top and with a number of changes made they still looked the stronger side and on 55mins Harry Mednick made a great pass behind the Epping’s defence for Matt Curtis to get on the end of again to place into the bottom left hand corner and made it 2-1 to Buckhurst Hill, Epping then tried to press and had a number of chance to make it 2-2 but Dan Wimpress the Buckhurst Hill keeper was in great form and keeped it 2-1 to Hill, this looked to have killed Epping as Hill looked the fitter side and then started to play the better football and then on 65mins Murry Wiltshire find Lee Beetles and Beetles play a great ball to find Ricky Flanders to make it 3-1 with a great shoot for 25 yards out hit the left hand past and hit the back of the net to which the Epping keeper had no chance of getting, and then with Buckhurst Hill on top finished the game off when a throw in found Beetles and a great lay off to Wiltshire he then finished from 20 yards to make it 4-1 to Hill
