I am a firm believer in the grass roots set up as at some stage we all have experience or been part of grass roots football in this country. For the younger players it’s their 1st taste of football and for the older players remains a passion and a hobby to pursue with dreams of playing the highest level that they can. The work and time that volunteers dedicate to preparing and organising teams to take to the field at a weekend has planted a seed in my mind of just how passionate we are about football in this country.

That’s why I want to give something back to the game that I have managed to make a career out of and taken a lot from, but also and most importantly I want to give back to the volunteers and players who make the game the biggest grassroots programme in the in the world.

For the future with Buckhurst Hill FC there is also a long term plan in place. In the first instance we will be working alongside the coaches to help produce the best possible sessions for the players at Buckhurst Hill and also improve the coaches’ ability to build their own sessions. We have already managed to put Elite training camps together for the club working the players intensely for 2hrs 30mins, doing player analysis and working on specific weaknesses within the team. This is a real exciting time to be part of such a forward thinking football club.
