The current club was established in 1985 by founders Alfie Segers and Richard Brand, and joined shortly afterwards with Ray Sherrin, Buckhurst Hill Football Club has become one of the most successful Clubs in Essex.
Shortly afterwards, the Club suffered a setback following an arson attack that nearly resulted in closure. Together with the help of Ken Richbell, they then embarked on the massive task of rebuilding and redeveloping the Club by seeking funds from various grants, authorities and foundations alongside their own fundraising to purchase the land and build a new Clubhouse which opened in 2002.
Initially starting with three teams, the Club has grown from strength to strength and now has twenty teams competing in four separate Leagues. Ages range from 5-16 plus two senior teams, resulting in over 200 members in the Club.
It is recognised by the FA Charter Standard and has a gold accreditation awarded by The Essex Sports Clubs. Achievements over the years have included Essex County Cup Winners as well as League Cup and Mini Soccer Cup Winners. The Club are proud of all their players and are fortunate to have great parents and supporters that help make the Club the success that it is today.
